Catherine Ann Jones lives in Ojai and offers private coaching in both modern and classical roles, preparing audition monologues, and eventually ongoing classes in scene study and improvisation for actors and writers. Call 805 646-7601.

Ms. Jones has played major roles in over fifty productions on and off-Broadway, regional theaters, as well as television (Great Performances, etc.) and film, working with such luminaries as George C. Scott, Teresa Wright, John Randolph, Hume Cronyn, Jason Robards, and Julie Harris. She studied with Lee Strasberg at the Actors Studio in NYC, later invited to be a member of the Directors/Writers Lab there; studied with Sir B. Iden Payne, former director of Stratford-on-Avon Shakespeare Theater and played leading roles under his direction in Shakespearean plays; studied with both Herbert Berghof and Uta Hagen at H-B Studio in NYC, and taught acting there as well.

Two years a member of a leading Off-Broadway Improvisation Group in Greenwich Village – essential for acting training. Ms. Jones has also taught improvisation at The New School University in NYC, playwriting, and held Master Acting Classes at The National School of Drama, New Delhi as a Fulbright Scholar.
